Coffee and other tea decreases risk of diabetes
Research shows that people who drink coffee are unlikely to get type 2 diabetes. It’s actually not known whether the caffeine or other sorts of ingredient in coffee is liable for the protective effects.
Researchers wanted to find out whether there is a link relating to diabetes and drinking coffee and green, black, and oolong tea. Participants completed an in depth questionnaire with regards to their health, lifestyle habits, and how much coffee and tea they drank. What Researchers Found
When other aspects were accounted for, the research workers discovered that the more green tea and coffee participants drank, the unlikely these people were to get diabetes. People who drank six cups or more of green tea or three or more cups of coffee each day were about one-third less likely to get diabetes. The link was stronger in women than in men. Can vitamin D and calcium also work ?
Vitamin D and Calcium May possibly Lower the Risk for Type 2 Diabetes in Women
The lack of vitamin D and calcium could be linked to getting type 2 diabetes. Over 80,000 women who had taken part in the Nurses’ Health Study. Through the course of 20 years, over 4,800 women developed type 2 diabetes. Researchers found that a combined consumption of over 1,200 milligrams of calcium and over 800 units of vitamin D was linked with a 33% lower risk for type 2 diabetes (when compared to women who took much smaller amounts of calcium and vitamin D). Results show that consuming higher amounts of vitamin D and calcium help lower the risk for type 2 diabetes in women.
